Softball Recap: Chrisman Find Success

After losing to St. Thomas More the last time they met, Chrisman decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cardinals walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Sabers on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Brianna Barna spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on nine hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Izzy Barrett was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Morgan Simpson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Chrisman's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Thomas More, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chrisman will take on Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Thomas More, they will square off against Prairie Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sabers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
