Baseball Game Preview: United Christian Academy Eagles vs. West Valley Mustangs

The United Christian Academy Eagles will take on the West Valley Mustangs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. United Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

While United Christian Academy's victory against Bethel Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles skirted past the Kings 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, West Valley can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against San Jacinto by a score of 5-2.

Nate Navarrete was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Navarrete wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Roman, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another was Aiden Juarez, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base.

United Christian Academy's record is now 4-5. As for West Valley, their record now sits at 13-11.

United Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 26-4 loss they got from West Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
