Soccer Recap: Old Forge Takes a Loss

Old Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain View Eagles. While losing is never fun, Old Forge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Mountain View are ranked 126th).

Old Forge's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mountain View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Old Forge will head out to challenge Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mountain View, they will face off against Gregory The Great Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
