Woodbridge posted their closest win since May 17, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hylton Bulldogs. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Caelan Goodwin-Slater was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Woodbridge's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Hylton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Coming up, Woodbridge will face off against Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hylton, they will challenge Forest Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
