Baseball Recap: Murray Comes Up Short

Murray was the 5-3 winner over Cottonwood when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Colts by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday.

Brody Sofonia was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times he's played. Taylor Shelton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Murray has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Cottonwood, their record now sits at 6-11.
