Basketball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 51-38 to the Walnut Grove Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-44 back in December of 2024.

Madison County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Walnut Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cedar Shoals the next time they take the court. Walnut Grove will host Cedar Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Madison County will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
