Volleyball Recap: Oconee County Beats Lafayette for Their Third Straight Victory

Oconee County waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the LaFayette Ramblers by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Oconee County never let LaFayette on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22.

Oconee County's offense was headlined by Lila Fowler and Jillian (Jill) Benning, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Fendley Kimbro and her 19 assists. Sidney Tranel controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oconee County now has a winning record of 6-5. As for LaFayette, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Oconee County has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Jefferson on the 16th. As for LaFayette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against White County on the 16th.
