Volleyball Recap: Jimtown Comes Up Short

Jimtown was the 3-1 winner over Lakeland when they last played one another back in August of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Jimmies fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Jimtown started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-15, 15-8.

Jimtown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lakeland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Jimtown will square off against NorthWood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against South Bend Adams on the 23rd.
