Softball Recap: Deer Valley Takes a Loss

The Deer Valley Wolverines lost 17-6 to the Irvington Vikings on Tuesday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braelyn Valdez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. Valdez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Lysette Marcial also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Deer Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Irvington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deer Valley will take on Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Irvington, they will face off against Mt. Eden at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
