Basketball Recap: Elmore County Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Holtville last Tuesday, Elmore County came back down to earth. The Elmore County Panthers took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Rams.

Valley's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Azerion Jennings, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Weaver, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Elmore County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8. As for Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elmore County and Reeltown will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against LaFayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaFayette will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
