After a string of six wins, Truckee's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 8-3 to the Shasta Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Truckee's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Shasta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Coming up, Truckee will be taking part in a tournament against Central Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.13 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Shasta, they will face off against Nevada Union at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
