Preview: Teaneck Highwaymen vs. East Side Red Raiders
The Teaneck Highwaymen will look to defend their home court on Monday against the East Side Red Raiders at 2:00 p.m. Teaneck knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully East Side likes a good challenge.
Even though NV - Old Tappan scored an imposing 70 points on Thursday, Teaneck still came out on top. Teaneck narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past NV - Old Tappan 73-70. Given Teaneck's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while NV - Old Tappan is ranked 249th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to East Side, who are still winless after their seventh match. The game between East Side and Seton Hall Prep wasn't particularly close, with East Side falling 62-44.
Teaneck has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for East Side, they bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
