Basketball Recap: West Charlotte Takes a Loss

If West Charlotte was feeling good fresh off their 64-21 takedown of Hopewell last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Charlotte Lions lost 65-42 to the Hough Huskies on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost six in a row.

West Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Hough, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

West Charlotte will be playing in front of their home fans against Harding University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hough, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mallard Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hough knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Mallard Creek likes a good challenge.
