Wabash River Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Cian Moore Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Covington was led to victory by Cian Moore, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Moore rushed for 390 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. Those 390 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

If history really does repeat itself, Moore might just drop another big game when he faces off against Attica on Friday. When Moore last faced the Red Ramblers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 303 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 55 receiving yards.

Aj Goff Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Riverton Parke got the W thanks in part to Aj Goff playing the best football he has all season. Goff rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Goff will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Parke Heritage on Friday. The Panthers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Wolves, probably because Goff had a solid game then too: he picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 37 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

A Season-Best Performance from Dallas Coleman Leads South Vermillion over Fountain Central

South Vermillion was led to victory by Dallas Coleman, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Coleman rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.

Coleman must have Fountain Central's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Coleman last faced the Mustangs back in September of 2023, he rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Garzolini Made His Presence Known in South Vermillion's 55-14 Win

South Vermillion picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Dominic Garzolini. Garzolini was dynamite, throwing for 301 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
