Softball Game Preview: Mohave Thunderbirds vs. Mingus Marauders

Mohave is 1-9 against Mingus since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds will head out to take on the Marauders at 3:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mohave came up short against Poston Butte on Saturday, falling 13-3. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mingus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to Flagstaff.

Mingus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julia Meyer, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mingus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mohave, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Mohave couldn't quite get it done against Mingus in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 21-16. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
