Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short

St. Joseph Academy lost against Bishop back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders were dealt an 80-43 defeat at the hands of the Bishop's Knights. The match marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Joseph Academy lost, don't look at Justice Ahiafor. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The contest was Ahiafor's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathew Adams, who posted four points and four steals.

St. Joseph Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Bishop's, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
