Volleyball Game Preview: Sultan Turks vs. Vashon Island Pirates

The Sultan Turks will face off against the Vashon Island Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Sultan lost 3-0 to Granite Falls on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Vashon Island came up short against Klahowya on Monday, falling 3-0. The Pirates have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Vashon Island's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Sultan, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Sultan took their victory against Vashon Island when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Turks repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
