Softball Recap: Willows Honkers vs. Colusa RedHawks

Kimberly Garrison put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Garrison has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Garrison was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Bethany Millen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and a stolen base.
Willows' defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Colusa, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0.
Willows will take on Gridley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gridley will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Colusa, they will head out on the road to square off against Clear Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
