Hammond skates past Arundel with ease

The Hammond Golden Bears put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 78-17 win over Arundel. Hammond's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Sara Yarnell, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. She set a new season high mark in steals with five. Another player making a difference was Asia Mitchell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Hammond pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.22 points. As for Arundel, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Hammond and Arundel will both be playing Atholton the next time they take the court. Arundel will head out to face Atholton on Wednesday, while Hammond will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
