Preview: Rocklin Thunder vs. Grant Pacers
Rocklin has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Grant Pacers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Rocklin: 14, Grant: 10.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rocklin walked away with it. They walked away with a 17-6 victory over the Rams on Saturday.
Rocklin found their leader in underclassman Reeve Slone, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, Grant can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 40-14 margin over Woodcreek. The victory was familiar territory for Grant who now have four in a row.
Wayshawn Parker was his usual excellent self, rushing for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Parker was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Alexander , who threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 12-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as Rocklin and Grant have no problem gaining yardage. Rocklin has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 350.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like Grant struggles in that department as they've been even better at 451.5 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them. Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other football content.
