Basketball Preview: West Logan Christian Academy Warriors vs. WestSide Renegades
The West Logan Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the WestSide Renegades at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (West Logan Christian Academy is ranked 66th, while the Renegades are ranked 41st).
Last Tuesday, West Logan Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Patriots, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Logan Christian Academy.
Meanwhile, even though Shelby Valley scored an imposing 72 points on Saturday, WestSide still came out on top. WestSide managed a 76-72 victory over the Wildcats.
WestSide's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden French, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kadien Vance, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
The victory got West Logan Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for WestSide, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
West Logan Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off the Renegades in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 74-72. Can West Logan Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
