Baseball Recap: Conard Takes a Loss

Lewis Mills hit Conard with a seven-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Wolves fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 7-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Wolves of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Conard and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Lewis Mills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Conard is set to take on their familiar foe Farmington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lewis Mills will square off against rival Avon at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
