Baseball Recap: Willows Takes a Loss

Willows extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-6. They fell 3-0 to the Maxwell Panthers. If the Honkers were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Maxwell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games.

For Maxwell's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Krug, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Coming up, Willows will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Hamilton at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Maxwell, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on East Nicolaus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
