Softball Recap: Patton Panthers vs. Polk County Wolverines
Patton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Polk County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Wolverines on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Patton got a massive performance out of Kara Redwine, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Redwine a new career-high. Ady Moorefield was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Patton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Polk County only posted an OBP of .286.
Patton's record is now 5-13. As for Polk County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
Coming up, Patton will be playing at home against East Burke at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Polk County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-8 defeat against Landrum on the 18th.
