Basketball Recap: Dr. Phillips Piles Up the Points Against Olympia

With a playoff win on the line, Dr. Phillips rose to the challenge on Thursday. They breezed past the Olympia Titans to the tune of 64-22. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dr. Phillips to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elise Horne, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Dr. Phillips is 11-2 when Horne posts ten or more rebounds, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamila Ray, who posted nine points along with eight boards and five assists.

Dr. Phillips has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.7 points. As for Olympia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Dr. Phillips wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 80-38 win against Oak Ridge on the 8th. Olympia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
