Basketball Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. Lake County Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the Alameda Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Lake County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

While Alameda didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Sheridan on Monday as Alameda made off with a 48-23 victory. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake County). They put the hurt on The Pinnacle with a sharp 49-23 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Alameda's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points per game. As for Lake County, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-6.
