Baseball Recap: Summit Shasta Find Success

While Summit Shasta's win against Pinewood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Black Bears skirted past the Panthers 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Black Bears as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Caden Frost, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Jalen Mingao was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Summit Shasta picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-7. As for Pinewood, their record now sits at 2-7.

Summit Shasta will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
