Baseball Recap: Pacelli Takes a Loss

Pacelli managed to slip by Pittsville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cardinals lost 11-3 to the Panthers on Monday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cardinals, who until this game were averaging 3.83 runs allowed.

Bryce Flaker was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Pacelli's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Pittsville, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pacelli will face off against Tri-County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pittsville, they will square off against New Lisbon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
