Basketball Recap: Chaney Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Chaney extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Alyssa Brown. The Chaney Cowboys strolled past the Harbor Creek Huskies with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 63-46 thanks in part to Brown, who went 10 for 22 on her way to 29 points along with seven steals and six boards. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Jamiya Jackson, who posted eight points and five rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Chaney's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Harbor Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Chaney will be playing at home against Alliance at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chaney is facing Alliance at the right time seeing as Alliance is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Harbor Creek, they will head out to face off against General McLane at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
