Recap: New Bloomfield Wildcats vs. Linn Wildcats
The New Bloomfield Wildcats lost against the Linn Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. New Bloomfield fell 58-47 to Linn. New Bloomfield has struggled against Linn recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
New Bloomfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Fuhriman, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Andrew Fouch, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
New Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Linn, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.
New Bloomfield will face off against South Callaway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Callaway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully New Bloomfield likes a good challenge. Linn will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eugene at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
