Basketball Recap: Abundant Life Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Abundant Life Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Sports Leadership & Management Giants and fell 71-34.

Despite the loss, Abundant Life Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Dylan Lipskin, who posted 17 points. Keston White-Marin was another key player, putting up seven points.

Sports Leadership & Management found their leader in sophomore Dennis Pierre Jr., who had 27 points and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Pierre Jr. has scored at least a third of Sports Leadership & Management's points. Another player making a difference was Mason Plewinski, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Abundant Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Sports Leadership & Management, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Abundant Life Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-67 win against Greenacres Christian on the 10th. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-60 loss against Donna Klein Jewish Academy on the 10th.
