Football Game Preview: Decatur Golden Gators vs. Skyview Storm + How To Watch

The Decatur Golden Gators will venture away from home to take on the Skyview Storm at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyview took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Decatur, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, everything came up roses for Decatur against Kent-Meridian as the squad secured a 47-7 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.

Decatur's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Antoine Williams led the charge by throwing for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Devin Caoagdan helped Williams out on the ground, rushing for 49 yards and one score.

Decatur's run defense was locked in: Kent-Meridian could only muster 0.2 yards per carry. The Golden Gators didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.5.

Meanwhile, Skyview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 33-7 to Oregon City.

The win made it two in a row for Decatur and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.0 points over those games. As for Skyview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Decatur barely slipped by Skyview when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 15-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Gators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
