Preview: Brandon vs. King
King have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Brandon on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against King, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
King might have drawn first blood against Strawberry Crest two weeks ago, but it was Strawberry Crest who got the last laugh. King and Strawberry Crest were almost perfectly matched up, but King suffered an agonizing 6-7 loss. This makes it the second loss in a row for King.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-44, which was the final score in Brandon's tilt against Jefferson last Friday. Brandon were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-23.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
