If Box Elder was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cottonwood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bees took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clearfield Falcons on Thursday. The Bees' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Box Elder came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23.

Box Elder's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-5. As for Clearfield, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

Box Elder has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Weber on the 12th. As for Clearfield, they will challenge Roy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
