Connor Perkins posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Perkins' effort led Perry County Central over Buckhorn and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
