Baseball Recap: Walnut Comes Up Short

Walnut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Kossuth Aggies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 14-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kossuth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Walnut will venture away from home to face off against New Site at 7:00 p.m. on March 3. As for Kossuth, they will head out to take on New Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
