Softball Game Preview: Blanco Panthers vs. Comfort Bobcats/Deer

For the second straight game, Blanco will face off against Comfort. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats/Deer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Blanco is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Blanco earned a 6-2 win over Comfort. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats/Deer recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kinley Boyd made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Landry Meyer was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Caroline Seymour, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Blanco's win bumped their record up to 10-16-1. As for Comfort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season.
