Preston gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish by a score of 9-4. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fighting Irish, too.

Robbie Lowe was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Lyric Moats was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Notre Dame dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Preston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Lewis County on the 24th. As for Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Ritchie County on the 25th.
