Brownsburg has gone a perfect 10-0 against Avon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Orioles at 7:00 p.m. Brownsburg is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Brownsburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pike 43-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Red Devils are ranked 51st).
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Aiden Jobe and Bobby Thomas. Jobe had a great game and rushed for 135 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Thomas did his best for the losing side, rushing for 123 yards and one touchdown.
Brownsburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Drew Bostic was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself. Brownsburg got some further help from Bostic: he forced one fumble and made seven total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Meanwhile, Avon was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They skirted past Ben Davis 23-21. The Orioles haven't had any issues with the Giants recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Brownsburg better keep an eye on Andre Warfield. He was instrumental in Avon's win, rushing for 147 yards and one score. They also got help from MacKaven Tislow, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 15 in total. All came from Tim Paciorek (K): he went 5-for-5 kicking field goals for 15 points.
Avon's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Grayson Clutter refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Ben Davis' side was Clutter, who picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.
Brownsburg's record is now 10-0. As for Avon, their record now sits at 6-4.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jobe and Warfield. Jobe just won't slow down this season and has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 96.6 rushing yards per game. Warfield has been a dominant force too and has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 117 rushing yards per game.
Brownsburg beat Avon 55-47 in their previous matchup back in September. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Warfield, who rushed for 307 yards and three TDs while picking up 15.4 yards per carry.
