Baseball Recap: Monsignor Pace Triumphs

The Monsignor Pace Spartans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the St. John's Cadets 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

The team relied heavily on Andres Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Monsignor Pace's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Giovanni Padron, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Monsignor Pace always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
