Softball Game Preview: Chapel Hill Panthers vs. Hart County Bulldogs

The Chapel Hill Panthers will head out to challenge the Hart County Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Chapel Hill is looking for their season's first victory.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chapel Hill duked it out with Temple on Saturday. The Panthers took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Shelby Dickens and Jayda Young stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dickens went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Young went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was Dickens' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taryn Stewart, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, while Hart County put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Cass. The Bulldogs walked away with a 4-0 win over the Colonels. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hart County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chapel Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .364. However, it's not like Hart County struggles in that department as they've averaged .384. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
