Football Recap: Raleigh-Egypt Comes Up Short

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Raleigh-Egypt was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against the Hamilton Wildcats, falling 36-12. The Pharaohs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Raleigh-Egypt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hamilton, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Raleigh-Egypt will face off against rival Memphis East at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. Meanwhile, Hamilton is set to square off against their familiar foe Melrose at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
