Soccer Recap: Northeastern Comes Up Short

The matchup between Northeastern and West Jefferson on Thursday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Jets lost 10-0 to the Roughriders. Northeastern were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Jefferson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for West Jefferson, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-1.

Coming up, Northeastern will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Stivers School for the Arts at 11:00 a.m. Northeastern will be up against Stivers School for the Arts' rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.88 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Jefferson, they are taking a road trip to square off against West Liberty-Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
