Softball Game Preview: Tonopah Valley Phoenix vs. ALA - West Foothills Guardians

Tonopah Valley is 0-4 against ALA - West Foothills since March of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Phoenix will head out to take on the Guardians at 3:45 p.m. Tonopah Valley has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

ALA - West Foothills has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tonopah Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .432. However, it's not like ALA - West Foothills struggles in that department as they've averaged .399. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
