Basketball Recap: Bucktail Comes Up Short

After flying high against Austin last Monday, Bucktail came back down to earth. The Bucktail Bucks had to suffer through a 69-39 loss at the hands of the Muncy Indians. If the Bucks were looking for revenge after losing 78-38 to them when the teams met on Wednesday, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Muncy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Rogers a new career-high in steals (six). Stiles Eyer was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Bucktail now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Muncy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Bucktail will challenge South Williamsport at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Muncy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Line Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
