Baseball Recap: Pocono Mountain East Comes Up Short

Pocono Mountain East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Emmaus Hornets, falling 9-2. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Pocono Mountain East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rocco DelGiudice, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Bobby Ehrmann was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Pocono Mountain East's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Emmaus, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pocono Mountain East will host Pocono Mountain West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Emmaus, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Bethlehem Catholic at 4:00 p.m.
