Carter has gone a perfect 5-0 against Clinton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Carter Green Hornets will be playing at home against the Clinton Dragons at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Carter's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Clinton has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

While Carter's victory against Northview Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Carter skirted past Northview Academy 5-4.

Kingston Griph was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Carter hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Clinton didn't have quite enough to beat Maryville Christian on Monday and fell 5-4.

Carter's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Carter was able to grind out a solid victory over Clinton when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 9-4. Will Carter repeat their success, or does Clinton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
