Geneva won the last time they faced The First Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Knights put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 12 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Bella Ortiz made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

In other batting news, Geneva got a big performance out of Ella Ingram, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for The First Academy, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
