Basketball Recap: Bertie's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bertie won the last time they faced Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, and Jamarion Beverly did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bertie Falcons simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins 67-16 thanks in part to Beverly, who went 9 for 13 en route to 18 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Zymiere Dempsey, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 10 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season.

The win (which was Bertie's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Bertie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 79-75 loss against Tarboro on the 8th. Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
