Recap: Ville Platte Bulldogs vs. Washington-Marion Charging Indians

The Ville Platte Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 91-58 loss at the hands of Washington-Marion. Ville Platte was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-33.

Leading Washington-Marion to victory were MONTE FARMER and ASHSTON SAVOIE. FARMER scored 20 points, while SAVOIE scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. ELIJAH GIMS was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Ville Platte and nudges their season record down to 8-12. As for Washington-Marion, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ville Platte will take on Opelousas at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Washington-Marion, they will stay at home for another game and welcome McKinley at 5:20 p.m. on January 13th.
